He is an active member of numerous dental and legal organizations, including Life Membership in the American Dental Association, Life Membership in the Illinois State Dental Society, Life Membership in the Chicago Dental Society, Life Membership in the American Equilibration Society and the Chicago Bar Association.  He is a Life Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists and has received numerous awards.

He is the former Dental Coordinator for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and maintains a law practice.  He has successfully represented dentists throughout Illinois in legal matters, licensing issues at the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations and dental-legal issues affecting the practice of dentistry.

He has written numerous articles and lectured extensively on dental-legal topics.  With experience as a practicing dentist and the former IDFPR Dental Coordinator, Dr. Vold has first hand knowledge of changing trends, materials and technology in dentistry.  This leads to a more effective understanding of his clients' issues and thorough, thoughtful representation.

​​​​Dr. Michael Vold has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University Dental School and a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University School of Law.  He has served as a dentist in the United States Air Force, has taught as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry.  He maintains an active private dental practice.
